My Dear colleagues,

Dentistry in India has moved light years in the last few years and is constantly evolving by the day. Gone are the days of 'drill and fill'. Today patients are far more educated and expect more sophisticated treatment options. Moreover with the advent of dental tourism, India has emerged as one of the countries playing a key role in it. So it becomes important for the practitioner's competence and skill to be at par with international standards. 

Unfortunately, traditional modes of education are not able to keep up with the latest updates in the field of dentistry. Though there are increasing number of Continuing Dental Education programmes, they do not offer real hands on experience on the patients.

Having the expertise of running a group of modern dental hospitals (FMS) and a prestigious dental college at Vikarabad (AP), has given us an insight into the aspirations and needs of dental surgeons. We are aware of where things have to change and have identified the following arenas of dentistry which will augment one's clinical practice. 

This lacuna also prompted us to start the Academy of Continuing Dental Education offering certificate courses at SSCDS, Vikarabad and at our soon to be commissioned City Centre, Hyderabad. The faculty members are educators par excellence, recognised as top professionals, renowned nationally and internationally in their respective fields. They are being invited to share their vast experience and knowledge with the participants on a one to one basis and are not only from India but also from other parts of the world.

These courses have been designed as weekend programs keeping in mind the busy schedule of both students and the clinical practitioners. They will help you to adopt and implement the skills in your dental practice with a new confidence and will forever change the way you practice.

SSCDS, VIKARABAD

A dental school of international standards, is located in a 30 acre campus with a panoramic lake view and serene atmosphere on the foothills of Vikarabad town - an hour drive from Hyderabad city.

Started in 2001, SSCDS has PG courses in all 9 specializations. It also has the distinction of having a collaborative agreement for clinical research with Boston University, Goldman school of Dentistry. This college is also recognised as a nodal centre for distance education in Implantology by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).

The facilities includes a styled auditorium with seating capacity of 500 and with all infrastructure for cultural and educative programmes, world class library with latest books & international journals, all pre-clinical and clinical departments with latest equipments and materials, laboratories, lecture/seminar halls providing an excellent ambience for the students/participants.  Provision of separate hostels for boys/girls and guest rooms for the faculty/participants with reading, internet  and recreation facilities give a comfortable residential stay for the participants.

The city centre is strategically located at Langer House, Hyderabad.  Boasting six levels of professional and educational space, we are proud, to be able to offer to you, modern facilities and cutting-edge technology. 

The centre features seminar halls with audio visual facilities, operation theatre, fully functional dental operatory rooms and cafeteria. It has been especially designed keeping in mind the busy dental practitioner such that they are free by 5 pm and can return to their clinical practice by evening and is the ideal venue for the weekend CDE courses. With ample parking space available, the centre will allow our delegates to relax and enjoy the information and education on hand.
